About Austin

I was born and raised in Riverton, WY. At the age of 15 my mom, brothers, and I moved to Colorado Springs where I finished high school at Discovery Canyon Campus and graduated in 2014.

From 2014 to 2018 I attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where I received my B.A. in Economics and a Minor in Business. Currently, I am attending Santa Clara University's Law School hybrid law program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.

After graduating from CU, I attempted to start my own bus company that would provide scheduled bus service between Denver and Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park, with stops between. I embarked on that journey until October 2019.

In November 2021 I was elected to the Broomfield City Council at the age of 25. I am the youngest person in Broomfield History to serve on the Council, and as far as anyone can tell, am tied for the youngest county commissioner in Colorado State history. I am also the only renter on the Broomfield City Council.

Since my time as a student at CU Boulder I have become a major transit, pedestrian, and bike advocate. My goal is to ensure that all people have access to quality transportation alternatives, can afford to live in Broomfield, and have access to services.
